Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state
  • 2+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
  • Experience with high-risk obstetric care, maternal health, and immediate newborn care
  • Current BLS, ALS, and advanced fetal monitoring certification
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, cerclage, and other Labor & Delivery procedures
  • Deliver immediate newborn care and support family-centered maternity care
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and the interdisciplinary obstetrics team
  • Maintain safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
  • Float as needed to related areas such as MFMU, Mother-Baby, or NICU
