Med/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of combined Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred/required per unit standards
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Required certifications must be active and available at time of submission
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Background and license history are reviewed; no open cases or license hits accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document accurately in the charting system
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized patient care plans
• Prioritize safety, communication, and timely interventions in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Support a strong night-shift workflow while maintaining excellent clinical standards
