- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 8-hour evenings
- Shift Pattern: 5x8 schedule
- Call: 8-24 hours per month
- Charting System: EPIC
- Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08901
Job Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR preferred
- Scrub experience required
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Strong experience with ortho trauma, spine, neuro/craniotomy, robotic surgery, bariatrics, gynecology, and general surgery
- Ability to float within skill set as needed
- Willingness to participate in on-call coverage
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
- Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of surgical cases
- Support complex trauma, neuro, orthopedic, robotic, bariatric, GYN, and general surgery procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to promote efficient case flow
- Maintain readiness for call shifts and float assignments within specialty skill set
- Follow established infection control, surgical safety, and documentation standards
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for adult and geriatric surgical patients
