Travel NICU Registered Nurse Job – Level III NICU in Burlington, Vermont

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred
  • Travel nursing experience preferred; if no travel background, experience in a large teaching facility NICU is required
  • Complete work history, including facility type, bed count, and EMR experience, must be provided
  • Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Reliable transportation is strongly recommended for this Burlington, Vermont healthcare assignment

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to neonatal patients in a fast-paced Level III NICU
  • Monitor, assess, and support infants requiring specialized neonatal and critical care
  • Float as needed to newborn NICU, mother/baby, newborn rounds, nursery, deliveries, and pediatric units with neonate feeder/grower assignments
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
  • Work rotating shifts and every other weekend as scheduled
  • Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a high-acuity clinical environment
