Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• ACLS certification required and active prior to the contract start date
• BLS certification required and active prior to the contract start date
• PALS or ENPC required and active prior to the contract start date
• De-escalation training required and active prior to the contract start date, or a booked course in place at Clinical Orientation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced stepdown and telemetry environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific, direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Provide care within departmental standards and specialty-specific guidelines
• Support patient flow and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assume leadership responsibilities, including delegation to other team members as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies
• Promote a safe, efficient, and positive care environment for patients and families
