- Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nurse
- Location: Richmond, VA 23225
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Setting: 25-bed cardiac telemetry unit
- Charting System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Weekend Commitment: Every 3rd weekend, plus rotating holiday coverage as scheduled
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work as a travel nurse in Virginia
- Strong ability to read and interpret EKG rhythms and telemetry monitoring
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced progressive care unit with admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures
- Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to notify physicians promptly of patient changes
- Team-oriented, positive, and adaptable bedside manner
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac telemetry and progressive care environment
- Monitor patients closely and interpret telemetry and EKG findings
- Assess changes in patient condition and respond quickly with appropriate interventions
- Coordinate care across admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, effective care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and support smooth unit workflow
- Assist with occasional floating to lower-acuity med-surg areas as needed
