- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend; at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday in a 4-week schedule; no on-call required
- Floating: Potential float to an affiliated freestanding emergency department approximately 15 minutes away
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of Emergency Department or acute care nursing experience
- Strong IV insertion skills for both adult and pediatric patients
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
- Preferred: trauma experience and/or TNCC
- Preferred: previous Meditech experience
- Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency nursing environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Perform IV starts, EKGs, and other core emergency nursing skills
- Assist with cardioversion, central line placement support, and pacemaker interrogation
- Respond to cardiac arrests and support Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols
- Prepare patients and equipment for suture and abscess procedures
- Deliver care in a collaborative setting with a focus on accountability and patient-centered outcomes
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and excellent attendance
- Work effectively with nurses, techs, providers, and support staff to keep patient flow moving
