Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Reston, VA, near the Washington, D.C. metro area. Join a high-acuity ER team and deliver quality emergency nursing care in a dynamic Northern Virginia healthcare setting.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Active compact RN license at time of submission
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • TNCC and CEN preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Experience in high-acuity emergency care strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical presentation
  • Support stroke, sepsis, and trauma protocols in the emergency department
  • Initiate IV access and assist with moderate sedation procedures
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and the ED team to deliver efficient, safe care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Contribute to a positive, hardworking, and team-oriented work environment
