• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570-$1,650

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• ADN required
• Current BLS certification
• Current CPI certification
• NVCI or HWC certification
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Behavioral health, psychiatric, or mental health nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work effectively with adult and geriatric behavioral health patients

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients in an acute psychiatric and behavioral health setting
• Support a 33-bed behavioral health unit with an approximate 1:10 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Use effective de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety, stabilization, and therapeutic outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered behavioral health interventions
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in behavioral health needs
• Float between geriatric and adult behavioral health units as needed
• Document care accurately in the Paragon EHR system
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a high-acuity environment
