RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• At least 1 year of ICU experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required before the first shift
• ACLS certification required before the first shift
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced patient care environment

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within the required timeframe after admission
• Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Support rehabilitation and patient education throughout the stay
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching early in the admission process
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians, charge nurses, and other care providers
• Supervise and guide ancillary nursing personnel as needed
• Promote patient and staff safety by following policies, procedures, and safe handling practices
• Contribute to a positive, efficient unit environment and step into charge responsibilities after orientation when assigned
