• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As scheduled
• Floating: Required within specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required during onboarding
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) preferred
• Comfort working night shifts and floating within scope
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for telemetry patients with cardiac and medical conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as dysrhythmias, ACS, CHF, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and stroke
• Administer treatments and therapies within RN scope, including IV management and blood product administration
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, and cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively during handoff and throughout the shift
• Adapt to floating assignments within specialty and lower-acuity areas when needed
• Deliver compassionate care while maintaining a calm, professional presence on nights and weekends
