Job Details
- Setting: Level III NICU / Neonatal ICU
- Location: East Stroudsburg, PA 18301
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: None
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Floating: No floating required
- Charting: Any electronic charting system
Job Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Single State or Compact RN license at time of submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Experience caring for neonates from less than 24 weeks to greater than 34 weeks gestation
- Strong clinical background in ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and Vapotherm
- Proficiency with central line, arterial line, UAC/UVC, and IV care
- Experience with neonatal sepsis, NAS, phototherapy, and blood product administration
- Ability to support breastfeeding, gavage feeds, developmental care, and family education
- PA fingerprints required prior to start
- Flu vaccine required unless approved medical or religious exemption applies
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care for neonates in a Level III NICU
- Monitor and manage infants with respiratory distress, prematurity, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and other neonatal conditions
- Perform and assist with advanced NICU interventions including suctioning, chest tube management, and line care
- Administer medications, blood products, and neonatal therapies safely and accurately
- Support high-risk deliveries alongside the neonatal team
- Complete thorough assessments, accurate charting, and family education
- Promote developmental care, thermoregulation, and feeding support for fragile newborns
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
