• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks
• Start Date: 9/13/2026
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• On-Call: None
• Floating: Expected to float to ICU and other inpatient units as needed

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• 2 years of recent Critical Care, ICU, or Emergency Department experience
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work confidently in higher-acuity settings
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independently drawing labs
• Comfortable working without a vascular access team, calling consults, and responding to codes
• Open-heart day 2 or day 3 experience with pacer wires preferred
• Prior experience floating to ICU, med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, and ED preferred

Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Manage respiratory support and other advanced bedside interventions as appropriate
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate timely consultations and interventions
• Perform independent clinical tasks such as lab draws and patient support procedures
• Float to ICU and other inpatient units based on facility needs and prior experience
• Support a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment on nights and weekends
