• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours per week)
• Weekend Commitment: 3 weekend shifts per contract
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050-$2,160
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Focus: Acute care ortho trauma with progressive care/telemetry patients

Job Requirements

• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele, stepdown, progressive care, or ortho trauma nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Comfort caring for telemetry patients with dysrhythmias and complex medical-surgical needs
• Experience in a high-acuity adult patient setting strongly preferred
• Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a busy telemetry and progressive care unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Support patients with BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen therapy, chest tubes, wound care, and other common progressive care interventions
• Administer medications and therapies per protocol, including blood products, heparin, and insulin drips as ordered
• Maintain peripheral, PICC, and central line care, along with IV insertion and management
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float within the organization as needed to meet patient care demands
• Promote excellent patient outcomes through strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork
