• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block
• Floating: Required to float within equivalent or lower acuity units as needed

Job Requirements

• 2 years of cardiac ICU or CVICU RN experience preferred
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan Ganz monitoring, sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
• Strong experience caring for adult cardiac and thoracic ICU patients
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating days/nights and support weekend coverage
• Must be comfortable floating within the organization as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult CVICU patients with complex cardiovascular and thoracic conditions
• Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, ventilators, vasoactive drips, and advanced cardiac equipment
• Care for patients recovering from CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, ECMO, VAD, and other advanced cardiac procedures
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition with a strong focus on safety and rapid intervention
• Perform and support procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, and blood product administration
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication throughout the care team
• Support infection prevention, isolation precautions, and evidence-based ICU protocols
• Float to similar or lower acuity units within the organization when needed
