• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Patient Population: Adult behavioral health

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; behavioral health nursing experience strongly preferred
• CPI or HWC certification required for consideration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience caring for adults with schizophrenia, dementia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, dual diagnosis, medical detox, depression, and anxiety disorders
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric and behavioral health environment
• Handle With Care certification is helpful; training may be provided

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a behavioral health setting
• Complete nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and support safety-focused care plans
• Administer medications and perform interventions according to clinical protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support therapeutic treatment and daily unit operations
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Promote a calm, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and staff
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transitions as needed
