Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required; emergency department or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound clinical decisions, and work independently when needed
• Comfort working in a high-acuity emergency department with changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care based on current needs and established care plans
• Educate patients and families throughout the admission-to-discharge process
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and effective manner
• Notify providers of relevant changes in patient condition and clinical concerns
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available, functional, and ready for patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, coworkers, and support staff to deliver efficient emergency care
