- Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage every other weekend or as needed; call as needed; float as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- NIH certification required
- HWC completion available on site
- Professional, team-oriented approach to patient care
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and floating assignments as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult and general patient populations
- Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate updates promptly
- Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient recovery
- Document care accurately in the EHR and maintain strong clinical communication
- Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient education
- Adapt to float assignments and help maintain smooth unit operations
