• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage every other weekend or as needed; call as needed; float as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• HWC completion available on site
• Professional, team-oriented approach to patient care
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and floating assignments as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult and general patient populations
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate updates promptly
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient recovery
• Document care accurately in the EHR and maintain strong clinical communication
• Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient education
• Adapt to float assignments and help maintain smooth unit operations
