- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Call: Once every 6 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
- Setting: Progressive Care / Intermediate Care Unit / Stepdown Unit
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required; 2 years of experience in the service line preferred/required for submittal
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with electronic health record charting systems preferred; Altera experience is a plus
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown setting
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and experience managing high-acuity monitoring needs
- Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer
- Travel RN experience preferred
- Comfort with facility onboarding requirements and orientation modules
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with low-acuity ICU needs and high-acuity telemetry needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
- Manage vasoactive, cardiac, and insulin infusions with frequent titration as needed
- Deliver care for patients recovering from neurologic, cardiac, and post-procedure events
- Perform frequent neurological assessments and support patients receiving thrombolytic or post-catheterization care
- Care for patients with high oxygen needs, pericardial drains, temporary pacemakers, and other complex clinical needs
- Collaborate with charge nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the charting system
- Support RN-driven patient care with assistance from PCTs and other unit resources
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care environment
