Overview

This Emergency Room Registered Nurse role is ideal for a confident ER nurse who thrives in a high-acuity setting, works well on a collaborative team, and can respond quickly to changing patient needs. You’ll care for geriatric, adult, and some pediatric patients in a 17-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio, using strong clinical judgment and communication skills to deliver excellent care.

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Type: Travel assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Time: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend unless working opposite a weekender
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Location: Clyde, North Carolina 28721
• Setting Highlights: 17-bed Emergency Department, self-scheduling available

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• 2-3+ years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred/required for this assignment
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Ability to safely manage patients across a range of acuity levels in a busy ER setting
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient status quickly
• Team-oriented, dependable, friendly, and hardworking demeanor

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency patients with varied needs and acuity levels
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Support care for common emergency diagnoses such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and behavioral health concerns
• Deliver compassionate care to geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the care team to promote safe, efficient patient flow
• Use Emergency Department documentation systems accurately and efficiently
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment that supports excellent patient outcomes
