NICU Registered Nurse - Travel Assignment in Las Cruces, New Mexico

  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent nursing experience, preferably in NICU, neonatal care, or pediatric critical care
  • Ability to complete all required pre-start compliance steps for New Mexico, including fingerprinting and background check processing
  • All required certifications and documentation must be in place prior to start
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced critical care environment
  • Reliable, team-oriented approach with excellent communication and compassionate patient care

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the NICU
  • Monitor patient status, recognize changes promptly, and escalate concerns as needed
  • Support treatment plans, medication administration, and ongoing clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality neonatal care
  • Educate and support families with compassion throughout the care process
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient patient care environment
