• Location: Boston, MA 02114
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Setting: General Medicine / Medical-Surgical Unit
• Start Date: 09/13/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
• Shift Pattern: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, every other holiday
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing or acute care nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or comparable academic medical center setting preferred
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to complete documentation and onboarding requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients on a busy general medicine unit
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and coordinate treatments according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support patient and family education to encourage understanding and continuity of care
• Adapt quickly to unit workflow, priorities, and evolving patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
