• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday participation required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Setting: Intermediate care / stepdown unit

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Experience in acute care, stepdown, progressive care, or telemetry strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, and early deterioration recognition preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Precepting and/or charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float to medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, STEMI, GI bleeds, and respiratory failure
• Administer medications, titratable drips, and ordered treatments in accordance with standards of practice
• Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias while recognizing early signs of clinical deterioration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Support patients and families with education, communication, and advocacy
• Provide care using advanced respiratory support equipment and other unit resources as needed
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and calm judgment in a fast-paced progressive care setting
