- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend Rotation: At least 2 weekends per month, subject to change based on unit needs
- EMR: Epic
- Floating: Within scope and below throughout the hospital
- On Call: No
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down nursing experience required
- First-time travelers may be considered with at least 2 years of total RN experience, including 1 year in PCU
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills required
- Experience caring for patients on BiPAP and high-flow oxygen
- Comfort with titratable drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix
- Ability to provide trach care, chest tube care, TR band management, post-cath lab monitoring, and central line maintenance
- Compassionate, adaptable, and comfortable caring for a diverse patient population
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care for progressive care, telemetry, and step-down patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing changes in patient condition promptly
- Provide care for post-cath lab patients, including frequent TR band checks and stent-related monitoring
- Manage a variety of medical-surgical, cardiac, and telemetry diagnoses such as CHF, MI, NSTEMI, sepsis, stroke, AKI, and respiratory conditions
- Support oncology patients when needed, with chemotherapy administration only if required by the assignment
- Administer and titrate medications according to provider orders and unit protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe discharges, patient education, and coordinated care
- Float to appropriate units within scope as needed to support patient care across the facility
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic medical records
