Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Pre-Op / PACU, Main Campus
• Schedule: Shifts may start between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM and end between 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM
• Call Requirements: Approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period, with call needs subject to staffing changes

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing
• At least 1 year of PACU, perioperative, outpatient surgery, or recovery room experience
• Experience with pre-op and post-anesthesia patient care preferred
• Ability to work variable start times and participate in on-call coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
• Completion of required onboarding and compliance documentation
• Rhythm interpretation and pharmacology knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate recovery care for patients following surgery and anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall post-op recovery progress
• Prepare patients for procedures in the pre-op area and support efficient patient flow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties in a community hospital environment
