- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Floating: Must be open to floating within/near the facility as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac floor experience required
- Cardiac telemetry, stepdown, PCU, DOU, or IMC experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
- Experience with post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and cardiac drip management
- Sheath removal experience
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, variable-ratio environment
- Comfortable with Epic charting preferred
- Must be available for interview and able to complete required testing prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside care for cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients
- Monitor patients for changes in rhythm, condition, and response to treatment
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias in collaboration with the care team
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, ACS, CAD, atrial fibrillation, cardiomyopathy, and vascular disease
- Support post-procedure recovery for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
- Perform and assist with sheath management and sheath removal when appropriate
- Manage cardiac drips, non-invasive airway support, and telemetry monitoring
- Document care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly using SBAR
- Maintain a patient-centered approach while adapting to changing acuity and staffing needs
