Psychiatric Registered Nurse jobs in Allentown, PA are available for an experienced RN seeking a 16-week travel nursing contract in behavioral health. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840-$1,940

- Duration: 16-week travel contract
- Schedule: Weekend day shifts every Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 AM-7:15 PM, plus one flexible weekday shift
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Work Setting: On-site
Job Requirements
- 2 years of recent experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health nursing required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a mental health or behavioral health setting
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and remain flexible for an additional weekday shift
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a behavioral health and psychiatric care setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status, behaviors, and response to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
- Support crisis intervention and therapeutic patient interactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and improve patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and nursing records
- Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
