• Schedule Notes: Weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays; no call, charge, or float
• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIHSS and TNCC certification required
• At least 2 years of emergency department experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong experience with triage, IV starts, and emergency care workflows
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Room environment
• First-time travelers are not accepted

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across all age groups in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assess patient conditions, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and support emergency interventions
• Care for patients with trauma, respiratory distress, stroke symptoms, cardiac events, and behavioral health needs
• Collaborate with providers and support services to ensure efficient, coordinated patient care
• Monitor patient status, document accurately in Cerner, and respond quickly to changing clinical needs
• Support a patient-centered environment while maintaining calm and professional communication under pressure
