Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS required
  • AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
  • Experience with Cerner preferred
  • Strong skills in obstetric triage, fetal monitoring, and labor support
  • Ability to begin pending license accepted, with active license required before start
  • Must be available to work some holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate patient care in Labor & Delivery, antepartum, and delivery settings
  • Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulation, and transition care assignments
  • Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk deliveries
  • Perform fetal monitoring and interpret tracing patterns to support timely clinical decisions
  • Assist with sterile exams, IV starts, blood administration, and medication management
  • Deliver patient education and support breastfeeding and newborn transition as needed
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a smooth, patient-centered workflow
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit procedures and safety standards
