Travel Med/Surg Tele RN opportunity in Knoxville, TN. Join a fast-paced acute care team and provide high-quality patient care across med/surg, telemetry, step-down/PCU, and possibly ICU-level settings.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Schedule: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Charting System: Cerner preferred
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS required or obtainable after offer, as applicable
• Must be able to pass EKG testing before start date
• Experience in med/surg, telemetry, or similar inpatient acute care settings strongly preferred
• Comfort working with adult patient populations
• Ability to float to various inpatient units based on clinical needs
• Preferred experience with Cerner and Omnicell
• Must be able to work nights and maintain a flexible, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to adult patients on med/surg and telemetry units
• Care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical and post-surgical conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Float to MS/Tele, step-down/PCU, and potentially ICU areas as needed and based on skill level
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and perform routine nursing interventions
• Support patients with complex needs including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, oncology, and neuro diagnoses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately in the EMR and follow unit protocols and safety standards
• Respond effectively to changing patient conditions and assist with rapid response situations when needed
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment
