• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Charting System: EPIC
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Floating: Travelers may be expected to float while maintaining a similar patient ratio
• Orientation: Hospital and unit orientation provided

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 1 year of recent registered nurse experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in telemetry, stepdown, intermediate care, or progressive care strongly preferred
• Comfort working with cardiac and respiratory patient populations
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotation
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and stepdown patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, respond to changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and manage therapies per patient plan of care
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, Afib with RVR, and syncope
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:5
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining unit standards and safety practices
