Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state license
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience or related specialty experience
  • Experience under the highest level of professional license may be considered with at least 18 months of experience
  • Associate degree in Nursing required
  • Current AHA ACLS certification
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Current AHA PALS certification
  • Current NIH Stroke certification or Red Cross equivalent
  • Current TNCC certification
  • Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
  • Availability to work holidays and every other weekend
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Solid navy scrubs required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department / ER setting
  • Assess, triage, prioritize, and respond quickly to a wide range of patient conditions
  • Support critical care, trauma nursing, and general emergency cases with confidence and teamwork
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff to improve patient outcomes
  • Float to other units or hospitals when needed to support staffing and patient care needs
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established emergency nursing protocols
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment
