Job Details
- Position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Location: State College, PA 16801
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
- Start Date: August 13, 2026
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current Pennsylvania RN license
- Completion of an accredited registered nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women and infants throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Assess patients and families, including developmental, health, and learning needs
- Perform initial newborn assessment and stabilization
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, and women’s health concerns
- Support bonding, family-centered care, and healthy outcomes for mothers and babies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient safety and quality care
- Maintain ongoing competency, professionalism, and clinical excellence in women’s health and infant care
