Job Details

• Position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Location: State College, PA 16801
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
• Start Date: August 13, 2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current Pennsylvania RN license
• Completion of an accredited registered nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women and infants throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Assess patients and families, including developmental, health, and learning needs
• Perform initial newborn assessment and stabilization
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, and women’s health concerns
• Support bonding, family-centered care, and healthy outcomes for mothers and babies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient safety and quality care
• Maintain ongoing competency, professionalism, and clinical excellence in women’s health and infant care
