• Schedule: Rotating days and nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Setting: Cardiac stepdown / progressive care environment
• Float Potential: May float to similar patient-care units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of recent stepdown experience required
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty preferred
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be successfully completed during orientation
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required
• Travel nursing experience is welcome, and progressive care experience is a plus
• Must be able to meet compliance and onboarding requirements before start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients with complex and evolving needs
• Monitor patient status, interpret changes, and respond quickly to clinical concerns in a progressive care setting
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, coordinated patient outcomes
• Perform accurate assessments, document care, and communicate findings effectively
• Support patient and family education to promote understanding, recovery, and discharge readiness
• Maintain a professional, flexible approach in a rotating-shift environment
• Contribute to a team-focused unit that values quality, safety, and compassionate care
