- Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Midland, Texas 79701

- Duration: 8 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Setting: Emergency Department
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Charting System: Cerner experience preferred
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required and must be active before start
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Recent travel ER experience preferred
- Experience in a comparable-size Emergency Department preferred
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required or willingness to obtain if offered
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Level II or Level III trauma experience strongly preferred
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
- Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ER setting
- Administer medications, start and maintain IVs, and support emergency interventions
- Monitor and manage patients with respiratory, neurological, behavioral health, trauma, and medical emergencies
- Assist with procedures such as sedation monitoring, chest tube support, intubation support, and emergency treatment interventions
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and unit support staff
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for patients and families
- Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and support the care team during high-volume shifts
