• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care RN)
• Employment Type: Travel, W2
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotation, self-scheduling available
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 days, 2:1 nights, 2:1 weekends
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Location: Huntington, WV

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Previous experience caring for critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Cerner experience strongly preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certification required
• PALS and TNCC preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a high-acuity setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to ICU patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor hemodynamics, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage ventilator support
• Perform comprehensive assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other critical care therapies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care in the electronic medical record
• Support a safe, organized, and compassionate ICU environment
• Float to like units as needed based on clinical experience
