Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
- Setting: Acute care, Labor & Delivery / LDRP
- Location: Bloomington, Illinois
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Call: No call or standby required
- Charting System: EPIC
Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Experience supporting labor, vaginal delivery, and cesarean delivery patients
- Experience in LDRP and nursery care areas preferred
- Comfortable floating hospital-wide as needed for tasking and team nursing support
- Willingness to work in a drug-free clinical environment and complete required screening
- Ability to provide requested submission items, including identification details and requested time off
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Monitor fetal status using the Obix EFM system and Philips monitoring equipment
- Support a unit serving a strong delivery volume in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Collaborate with charge nurses, OB techs, secretarial staff, neonatology, and respiratory therapy
- Deliver care aligned with AWHONN-based ratios and unit standards
- Assist with newborn care in the level II nursery as needed
- Float as needed to support hospital-wide patient care and tasking
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive, patient-centered care experience
