Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Progressive Care, Stepdown, Telemetry, or Acute Care experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of start
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Experience with EPIC EHR or other electronic health record systems preferred
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with state practice guidelines and facility policies
• Monitor patients with complex, multi-system needs and respond to changes in condition
• Coordinate care across departments and serve as a communication point for patients and families
• Support patient education, advocacy, and discharge readiness
• Use evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to prioritize care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Collaborate with the care team to promote quality outcomes and patient safety
