• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 26 weeks

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float: Required to Postpartum / Antepartum and between nearby campuses as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand; compact license accepted at submission
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-acuity, fast-paced Labor & Delivery or high-risk obstetric settings
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting required
• Current BLS and NRP required
• ACLS and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate preferred
• Must have current supervisory references and required certification documentation at time of submission
• Must be comfortable with clinical review requirements and float expectations
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, newborn care, postpartum care, and obstetric procedures strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate for C-sections and provide newborn care, including assessments and routine newborn interventions
• Support high-risk deliveries and a fast-paced obstetric care environment
• Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and Epic documentation workflows
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, postpartum recovery, and triage of obstetrical patients
• Administer and manage medications and therapies as directed, including pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin, and anticoagulation-related care when indicated
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent maternal and newborn outcomes
• Deliver care in accordance with unit standards and AWHONN guidelines
