Job Details

• Position: Travel ER Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Emergency Room / Acute Care
• Location: Hastings, Nebraska
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Nights, every other weekend
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: 3 shifts with an experienced nurse
• Start Date: 8/13/2026

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• 3 or more years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and assessment skills
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred, but not required
• Comfort working in a fast-paced Emergency Room with variable patient volumes
• Ability to work nights and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, efficient care to patients with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Assess, triage, and prioritize care for adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Manage patients with common ER diagnoses such as abdominal pain, falls, chest pain, and more
• Administer and monitor common drips including antibiotics, cardiac medications, Heparin, TPA, and insulin
• Collaborate closely with physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, lab, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support safe patient flow, including cardiac monitoring and transport coordination as needed
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a dynamic environment where teamwork is essential
