Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Join a fast-paced Med/Surg Tele travel nursing team in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, just outside the Washington, D.C. metro area. This 13-week registered nurse opportunity offers a dynamic acute care environment where you’ll provide skilled, team-based care for adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including complex ED admissions and border patients.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced border environment
• Comfortable floating within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for Med/Surg Tele, IMC, and ER border patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support adult and geriatric patients with a broad range of diagnoses, including complex admissions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, efficient patient care
• Manage patients within scope across border, stepdown, and med/surg settings
• Perform routine and advanced nursing interventions based on patient needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes in a busy, high-acuity unit
