• Schedule: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/26/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating: Required to float to units as needed
• Unit Census: 20-25 patients daily

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience caring for adult medical-surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Ability to manage a 1:5 patient ratio in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Comfort working night shifts and floating as needed
• Strong clinical skills, teamwork, adaptability, and communication

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the chart
• Support post-surgical and overflow medical patients across the unit
• Manage common Med/Surg nursing skills such as wound care, telemetry, line care, and respiratory support
• Maintain high standards for patient safety, communication, and professional nursing practice
