• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Orientation: 12 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submittal
• 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience working with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac drip management, isolation precautions, and peripheral line care
• Comfortable providing care for adult and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med-Surg patients with a wide range of diagnoses
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Interpret dysrhythmias and assist with management of cardiac drips as ordered
• Support patients with respiratory needs, infection precautions, and peripheral IV care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical-surgical inpatient environment
