- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, day/night rotation
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for Maryland practice
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
- Experience in both ICU and IMC / step-down care required
- At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must successfully pass an EKG rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Comfortable floating to Med Surg and ED as needed
- Strong clinical background supporting adult and geriatric critical care patients
Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside nursing care to patients in the ICU and IMC
- Monitor and manage complex cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and GI/GU conditions
- Care for ventilated patients and tracheostomy patients in a critical care setting
- Support patients receiving HFNC, dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis therapies
- Administer and manage non-titratable IV drips, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care protocols
- Perform comprehensive assessments, interventions, and ongoing patient evaluations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated care
- Float to ICU, ED, and Med Surg units when needed based on patient care demands
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow all unit procedures and compliance expectations
