- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3x12s, weekends required
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850-$1,950
- Charting System: Epic
- Float Requirement: Required within like units as needed
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; compact license required at submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Strong experience managing a patient ratio of 1:4 in a high-volume emergency department
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and float between like units
- Comfort working in a large, high-acuity emergency department
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-moving clinical environment
- Monitor and manage complex cases including stroke, cardiac, trauma, and multisystem presentations
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical interventions as indicated
- Support ventilated patients, arterial line management, central line care, and continuous IV sedation
- Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs, and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established emergency care protocols
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining a calm, professional presence
- Contribute to a positive team environment that supports excellent patient outcomes
