Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Mother/Baby, postpartum, women’s health, or maternal-newborn nursing preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to bedside nursing care
- Comfort working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, support staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Support family education related to newborn care, recovery, breastfeeding support, and discharge readiness
- Administer medications and complete nursing assessments in accordance with care plans
- Collaborate with the care team to promote positive patient outcomes in a Mother/Baby setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
