Job Requirements

• Active Compact RN license or Alabama RN license
• No NURSYS hits
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend
• Travel clinicians must meet applicable distance requirements for the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care in a busy Med/Surg unit
• Assess patients, monitor conditions, and respond to changing clinical needs
• Administer medications and perform ordered treatments accurately
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Maintain quality, safety, and efficiency standards in a high-volume acute care setting
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and team members throughout the assignment
