• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Call/Standby: No call required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Start Date: August 31, 2026

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience supporting labor, vaginal deliveries, and C-section patients preferred
• Ability to care for postpartum patients and newborns in a Level II nursery environment
• Comfortable floating hospital-wide as needed for tasking and team nursing support
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Support vaginal deliveries and C-section care in a high-volume birthing unit
• Care for postpartum patients, couplets, and newborns in the nursery setting
• Collaborate with charge nurses, OB techs, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with newborn stabilization and support respiratory equipment setup as needed
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered experience for mothers and families
