- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Call Requirement: None
- Orientation: 2-3 shifts depending on traveler experience
- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Highlights: 12 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, approximately 700 deliveries per year
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Experience in LDRP and nursery areas preferred
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate every other weekend and holiday
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced birthing environment
- Ability to float hospital-wide as needed for tasking and team nursing support
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in a collaborative Labor & Delivery setting
- Monitor fetal status using the Obix EFM system with Phillips fetal monitors
- Care for Level II nursery newborns and assist with CPAP setup as needed with respiratory therapy support
- Work closely with the charge nurse, OB techs, and neonatology provider available 24/7
- Respond to patient needs across triage, labor, postpartum, and nursery workflows
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow established unit processes
- Float within the hospital as needed to support tasking and team nursing model coverage
- Contribute to a positive, family-centered care experience for mothers and newborns
