• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Location: Longview, TX 75601
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Medical-Surgical Care

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care
• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Current ACLS certification from AHA
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs in a stepdown setting
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate nursing protocols
• Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness, changes in condition, and potential side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, interventions, and ongoing care accurately in the medical record
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, discharge needs, and available resources
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
